isn't she a beauty? i have enjoyed every second of summer this year. probably b/c i was frozen from the day football started until late march. so i decided to savor the summer and that i did! my savoring included: raspberries & peaches to my hearts content (i won't get into bowel shock this time) and of course right about this time... my garden foods! peas have come and gone, carrots are starting, lettuce indulged in along with monstrous zucchini's, potatoes and other deliciousness.
before you ask.. the red house belongs to Lashes. that is her name. she is super cute and i don't think of eyelashes anymore when i say her name. that out of the way.. see those light green things?? those are my roma tomato's almost deciding that they want to grow! what a horrid year for tomatoes. i think i'll still get a can or two out of those suckers. and yes.. to the left my ginormous zucchini plant. 1 out of the 4 i planted survived and she has produced past her potential and my zucchini bread was ummm kind of to die for. i will be shredding and freezing!!
ohhhhh my. the wissler family has added 5 more babies to the masses! penny had her babies yesterday. we had no idea when they would appear... but here they are and as cute as can be!! the orange one (i just learned today that almost all orange cats are males.. didya know that??) will be kept and enjoyed to the maximum i'm sure. scott and i apparently have a thing for orange cats much to the kids delightment (word??) so the craziness continues.. summer is ending.. i am in denial.
ps. i have mentioned that i love bleach almost more than life right? our pool.. that was green.. is no longer.. my full bleach bottle... is kind of no longer either.

5 HOLLA'S:
Oh I'm so glad you blogged. I love it when you blog - even if it's only little bits here and there. You are very entertaining to read - even the regular-everyday stuff. Those kittys are super cute! (but not cute enough for my house mind you). Your garden - amazing! Everything struggled in my garden except the cosmos. Well, at least it looks nice and hides the weeds ;)
I missed you! Your garden looks amazing we won't even speak about mine! I have a ton of blogging to do to catch up on my memories. I love it as it is a scrapbook and journal all in one!
Keep it up. We will all be happy with anything you blog!
funny how even blogging has flood and drought, eh? good to see a little something from you - I may be suffering a little garden envy though.
I am super jealous of your garden and all the yumminess you are benefiting from it. And those kittens are to die for cute but really, you can't go wrong with anything baby. Well, most of the time.
I have garden envy - I think there are still carrots and beets in there amongst the weeds. Did you get the recipes?
